LGBTQ+ Discrimination
This is the first time I've ever posted something like this, but I really felt the push right now to say something, even if it goes unnoticed. I know that tv shows and movies tend to exaggerate the things that happen in everyday normal life, but I've recently started watching Queer as Folk (the US version), and the amount of discrimination toward the queer people in this show really makes me sad. I know this show was around in the early 2000s, and the US has made a lot of progress in the realm of LGBTQ+ people. But it really crushes me that people can be so ignorant. I myself am bi and still in the closet, and what scares me the most is that there are still people in this world that are in that place, and it makes me not want to ever even THINK about coming out. My point in saying all this is that I really can't stand discrimination against anyone for anything, especially for someone liking it the same gender as them... It's their life! Let them live how they want! Are they affecting your lifestyle at all? Probably not.Sorry all for the rant, but I just got to a point where I needed to vent, and this felt like the place to do it.And please, no hate in the comments. This is a safe place and it should stay that way. Thanks.
