Should I or should I not?

My ex boyfriend and I had been together for 14 months, since I was 16. We broke up because he became really weird and possessive, he has since asked a few times to get back together but today he texted me a really sweet message on how he has changed. I do not know if it is worth the trouble to get back together again. Should I give him another chance?
