I met a guy, and decided to come out.
I know this may be a cliche, but it's very accurate: Coming out feels like a massive weight lifted off your shoulders. It really does. I'm 23 and knew I was gay for years. Met a great guy online, met up and after a couple dates I just couldn't stop thinking about him. He became too important to hide, so I told my two closest friends, (one guy, one girl.) They're both straight but have shown nothing but love and support. Then I decided to tell my mom....She was surprised, but loves me so much and just showered me with it. I wouldn't blame anyone for keeping the secret throughout highschool....that can be a brutal place, but don't live a lie. In the words of Dr.Seuss..."Those who matter don't mind, those who mind don't matter."I just really wanted to share my story, thanks for reading.
