Coming Out

I don't know where to post this and I thought maybe this subreddit can use a little story from me.Well recently i decided to come out to my friends and family. At first I was hesitant for my family were quite conservative in the beliefs. The responses were quite mixed. Nearly half of the people who were my friends decided it was better to cut ties with me. This was rather heartbreaking because I knew these people for nearly a decade, but I respect their decisions. I then decided to go to my mother for the next part. I didn't know how to say it to her. I didn't know how she would react. I didn't know what would she do after she found out. This is what she did after I said I was gay. She sat there staring at me. For exactly 3 whole minutes. Not blinking, just staring. Then just said, "Well I hope you marry the right guy." This was not what I had expected and I couldn't be happier with the response.Sorry for anything sloppy. This is my first time posting on this subreddit and I don't exactly know the rules.
