What do you think of Bisexuality?

I would consider myself to be bisexual. I sometimes struggle with labelling myself because many people believe bisexuals to be nonexistent, and sometimes I believe them. I think it's mostly because I flip flop between wanting a girlfriend and wanting a boyfriend. Anyway, what is your take on bisexuality?
