Need some advice on prostate pain

I recently used a curved butt plug for stimulation. And yadda yadda yadda. My ass hurts today. Is this common? Or did I go too far. I was sitting on it rocking back and fourth to massage my prostate. I'm not gay. But I figured this would be the place to ask? Love the whole prostate thing now. This is new to me. And I only have been doing it a few months now.
