How should I introduce my partner to my family?

My partner and I have been together for a while now but my family doesn't know about it.They know I'm gay but generally refuse to acknowledge it and ask when I'm going to date someone of the opposite sex, that I'll eventually grow out of it, etc etc.I want to introduce my partner in a way that'll cause the least amount of awkwardness or tension.Any ideas?
