Nearly 18 and wondering what's out there

So I'm soon to be 18 (end of December) as one who has come out to just about everyone and completely comfortable with who I am. Only a day after my birthday I am headed to Europe with the family for a few weeks but staying for 6 more weeks after they leave, I was wondering what kind of gay things could I explore now that I'm 18, whether its parades or clubs or anything, more specifically for those around northern Europe. I have never had anyone to tell me locations or areas where I could actually just be 100% open with who I am. Also anywhere around Australia (Sydney) is there anything cus that is where I'll be spending 4 years to finish a university degree. I know the dangers associated with everything by the way, I have been told more than enough times to know what to beware of and what to avoid.
