Making gay friends?

I've been recently out for about a year now and now in a serious relationship with a man that I absoluter in love with. However, we've been having a lot of trouble trying to make gay friends (he's a transplant and being recently out, I don't have a lot of gay friends). I've tried gay apps, meet ups (nothing has really appealed to us), and going out to all our local gay bars, but haven't really been able to find anything. We live in Seattle so you'd think this would be easier.Any tips?
