How do I do this?

I don't know what to do. Something similar to this has probably already been posted but I'm still gonna post. I live in a very rural place, less than 5000 people. And I (as far as I know) have never met another gay guy in my life. I don't travel much and I am unable to do so. I have tried meeting people online but they only want one thing (you know what). How do I go about meeting other gay guys? I just want friendships with other people in the gay community...
