Closeted bf

Any tips on how I should handle the situation? He's older than me (+10) and i'm in my twenties. He's told some friends but no family or male friends. He always say that I will eventually meet some of his friends but it never happens and the result is that the relationship just seems kind of secret. It feels like I can be open to the world while he can get uncomfortable just when some one he knows gets on the same bus as us. Help
