An open letter to all my serious relationship only brothers

Dear reddit,We all have entered that stage of our life. You're tired of the game, you don't want the one night stands and you flock to the dating sites -- listing yourself as serious relationship only. This is a mistake and while your relationship may not fail, you are also missing out of some of the most eventful and memorable times of your relationship.I'm just coming from my cousin's wedding. I'm the last of my cousins and siblings on that side of the family to not be married so the pressure has been mounting to just go out there and meet somebody. As such, I've been passing on casual encounters and seriously seeking committed relationships. However, isn't the most important aspect of finding someone you want the spend the rest of your life with, that they are your best friend and the only person you want to be there for you at the end of the day?You wouldn't walk up to random person and say that you only want to get to know them if they were best friend material -- if they were willing to bail you out of jail, listen to you cry when your crush goes home with someone else, celebrate with you when your sports team wins. No, you meet someone at a party or through and friend and spend time with them, slowly building a relationship that is stronger than tempered steel. So, why shouldn't a more important relationship follow the same path? So, to my forever alones, to my friends who are too discouraged to put themselves back out there, or to my friends who are just looking for something different -- give the club, bar, or sports team another chance and put yourselves back out there because you may end up developing the most real relationship you have ever experienced.TLDR: drunk ramblings. <3https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sb3XfrCtjVU - drunk rambling song :)
