I really like this boy I've been seeing and we've been talking for 2 months now. I want to ask him to be my boyfriend, but that's the thing I have no clue how to I want it to be somewhat special and meaningful. Can anyone please give me advice or ideas? Thank you

So I've met this guy on OkCupid and we starting talking on there we eventually go eachothers numbers and ever since then we've been talking everyday since. We hangout & go on dates all the time too it's great. We've been talking or dating whatever you call this for 2 months now. We both know how we feel about eachother and we are on the same page. He is such a great person and I see so much greatness in him. He makes me so happy and makes me feel cute with his compliments and stuff. One night he surprised me with roses at my door at 1AM. We already act like a couple calling eachother cute names and holding hands in public but we don't have that title. I want to ask him to be my boyfriend but I'm a bit shy I know he'll say Yes! so I shouldn't be afraid of rejection. I just don't know how to do it or what to say? Do I just be straight forward and ask "Would you like to be my boyfriend?" or what? Do I take him out on date? Do I surprise him? I know it's not a freakin proposal but I just want him to know he is special and that I really want him to be officially mines. Any thoughts, advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
