I don't hookup...help D:?

I've very recently come to terms with being gay and I'm out to my university. One of my friends was pressuring me into sex, but I said no because I'm the type of person to only have sex with someone I really care about where I'm in a relationship with. He says I need to stop being a prune or ill be alone forever and that all gay guys sleep around.But how can I start to find other like-minded gay guys? Most people are really only attracted to me for my looks because I have such a dorky personality and the guys I talk to are really turned off as soon as they learn I'm not looking for sex...
