I'm ready to experiment, what do I do?

So Im 19F and just went through a break up with a boyfriend. I've always been curious about women but i never explored it because the opportunity never presented itself. Now that I am single, I think I want to give it a try. I want to start talking to some girls but I don't have a radar for if they're catching my drift. What's some good advice for finding gay people besides going to gay clubs?
