first gay relationship - 16 years old
To start things off, I'm 16 years old. I came out of the closet this summer to overwhelming support and I'm incredibly proud of who I am. A while after coming out, I was introduced to a boy who eventually came out to me. We snapchatted for a while and then started texting. After about a week of texting, mutual friends let us know that we both were crushing on each other. We went on a date, however we are both very awkward and had a lot of awkward silences.. the next day we went on another date and ended the night by sticking our tongues down each other's throats. That night, we basically said we were official. This week, we've gone out to lunch twice, but usually spend half of lunch time making out or making googly eyes at each other. Don't get me wrong, I'm overjoyed with this boy, but do we need to try to establish a stronger emotional bond? While I'm generally comfortable around him, I feel like I don't know him thoroughly. I want this relationship to last a while. How do I make this relationship stronger, with less awkward moments and a more powerful emotional connection?
