What kind of music is played in gay bars/clubs?

I know this question may sound stupid, but since I've never been to a gay bar or club or anything related to party (I just don't like it too much and the music they played in "straight" clubs just wasn't something I felt like dancing) and I always wondered if in gay clubs/bars people play more "pop music" like "gayer music" if you know what I mean, because I guess some day I would like to go to one and music plays a big part in my way to have fun. I would really appreciate if someone who went to a gay bar/club in Spain would tell his experience. Thanks
