First Date Expectations?

Hey! So erm, I've never been on a first date, I'm in my second year of college. I've dated a couple of guys during highschool (cis male myself), but we always stuck with it after the first date as it was, well, high schoolers. We also knew each other somewhat.Now that I'm starting to date again, what should I expect? I'm going on a date this weekend with a guy I met on Tinder (he's early 30's I'm 19-usually prefer older-), and I don't know too much about him other than what we've discussed. How do you guys usually go about a first date with a (more or less) total stranger?Also, I'm not currently working, but I offered a lunch date. I could afford to pay for myself, and perhaps him, but it might be tight. I understand I'm probably expected to pay for the meal, considering I asked him, but I feel a bit odd about it considering the age difference (and the fact that I don't have a steady income). Obviously I want to go into a potential relationship on equal footing, so that might not make sense (aka, I don't want him to feel obligated to pay for me, etc, I don't want that sort of thing). What should I do in this situation? Should I bring up the topic with him before the meal over Tinder or at the start of the date?Thank you!
