how to defeat lovesickness

I'm a closeted teenager (16) and i am in love with a good friend. He is straight and doesnt know i'm gay. I try to overcome this feeling but i just feel so sad when i am together with him and he doesnt see me the way i see him. I am not able to avoid him because we go to the same school and i am neither able to find another love, because i live in a small conservative village. I want to get over him but i dont know why, please help me.M
