Question about PrEP

Hey guys,I've taken enough time off PrEP for it all to be out of my system. Can I do a combination of event based and regular use to get to my normal levels again?So I know if I'm not currently on PrEP and I take 2 pills on Monday, fuck on Tuesday and have a pill, and take a pill on Wednesday, I get full protection from the sex I had.I've been told if you're taking regular dosages, you have to take at least 7 pills over 7 days to be fully protected. But how can that be if only 2 pills can cover me for a sexual encounter.Surely they should be recommeding when you start PrEP you take 2 pills and then 1 per day after that? Wouldn't that then guarantee full protection after just 1 day, opposed to 7?Little confused about this. It seems so obvious but all the recommendations are either doing event based, or waiting 7 days!Any advice would be helpful.
