Anal sex may have saved my life...
Hello my name is Alex and thank you very much for reading this post.So a little story about me, back in my senior year in highschool is when I finally decided to be open about my homosexuality. I started going out to raves, venues, hook ups and etc. Everything was fine and dandy, I graduated highschool in May 2014, I was 19 and enlisted in the U.S. Army and left for basic that August. After 3 "lovely" months I was in my unit and well thought I try to meet up with guys on base. I notice there was something extremely wrong, it started becoming very painful and thought maybe it was because I havent had intercourse in a while. However a couple days later I started having blood in my stool which kept getting worse and worse. It got to the point where my toilet paper was drenched in blood and took maybe 3-4 of them to clean it up. I went to the doc, he checked for fissures and told me there werent any. He told me to eat more fiber, gave me stool softener and sent me on my way. So from 2015 - 2016 I did not have sex whatsoever. Jan 2016, 20 years old now, I metup with another person because I thought it was better, the blood was rare now and i was ready to have fun again. The night was going great and then it followed with the worst pain I have ever felt. I ran to the bathroom and just no stools came out...just a sheer amount of blood. The water was just bright red and I was basically shitting out blood. I went to the ER and they checked for a fissure, no fissures. They checked for hemorrhoids, no hemorrhoids. Last but not least, they checked for an STD...nothing. They sent me to my doc once again and this was urgent. I met with my doc and had to get a fecal matter test. Once I did that, it was time for me to immediately get a colonoscopy. It was Feb 2016 and they found a sessile serrated adenoma in my ascending colon. Which for those who don't know is a premalignant (Precancerous) lesion and has to be closely monitored and removed piece by piece due to its shape. SSAs are known to be precursors to colon cancer through an alternate pathway. I go back to the doc in jan 2017 to get more of it removed and get checked. So if it wasnt for those failed intercourse sessions, this could of went on without the doctors or myself being aware. Holy shit thats crazy.
