He left some stuff behind and I got rid of it.

A little bit less than two months ago, my ex broke up with me. I wasn't sad but rather furious on why he broke up with me. I was able to move on pretty quickly (though I listened to nothing but Lily Allen for a straight month). He left two items in my car: a jacket and a receipt for a warranty. I kept them for a while but he never texted that he wanted then back. So last week I threw out the receipt and yesterday I donated the jacket to Goodwill. Of course last night he finally texts me saying he wants them back. What should I do?
