Gay Relationship Advice

I need some advice on an issue I have with a relationship I am in. I’ve been with this person for two years. We’ve had issues. A lot of people have said don’t date this person because they don’t like him. He has met my family but before he met them I had to say to him to be friendly and polite. I will get to the chase. When I used to live in Melbourne with this person we had a fight and he trashed the bedroom, broken desks and broke the door by his fist. A couple of months ago he blocked me on everything and called me saying I will come over and break your arm I reported it to the Police. A couple of weeks on. He sent me an email saying If I want to SMS and I don’t know why but I decided to talk to him. I know it was silly but love does crazy things. When we were in Queensland to see my family he got pissed off and took it out on the car while we were on the highway and did a massive car skid with the hand break up and the brakes. This isn’t the first time he has done this. My main weakness is being ignored and he always does it and it really annoys me. My main question is, should I just move on and forget about him and try to find someone much better? As I know I deserve better than this but I do love him a lot which is the hard part. I asked him last night why he ignored me and went off at me and did a Facebook status saying who has a gun and a bullet so I can kill myself. I have been trying to talk to him today about the issue and he is just ignoring me and its hard to even get a word out of him. What do you suggest I should do or? I would also like to add when he left me he was talking to another guy and was going to date him days after we broke up but couldn't do it because he loved me and came back to me.
