Unprotected Sex with boyfriend of 5 years

My boyfriend and I have been together for 5 years now, and we've been thinking a lot about the idea of barebacking, it excites the both of us but not sure if it's safe in our particular case. We're monogamous- never been with other guys (not that there's anything wrong with people that aren't) and we're both STD/STI free and HVI negative.Any thoughts?
