Strangeness in the airport... (possibly NSFW)
I have been dwelling on this so much that I have not been able to sleep.Yesterday, I had to go pick up my nephew from the airport, and due to the weather not being as bad I was expecting it be, I arrived about an hour before his flight arrived. So I found a seat in an out of the way corner and opened up Grindr. Now, I know how bad Grindr is, and I was checking to see if some of the guys I have been chatting with (and ONLY chatting!) were online. When Grindr opened, the profile right next to mine had a shirtless teenager who was also online. This kid looked like he was no more than 15, and the idea of someone that young being on Grindr really creeped my out. I clicked on his profile and his age popped up as 33! And that he was within 25 feet of me!I immediately started looking around to see if I could see him. Sure enough, there he sat, right about 25 feet away, next to a woman who looked to be in her thirties, and a couple of children about 6 or 7 years of age.But there was no way he was more than 14, and there was no way he was the one on Grindr because he is texting on his cellphone and it is the same flip phone I used to own. Grindr could never work on that model. But then I noticed it: The woman was using an iPhone, and she kept looking at the phone and then looking around. Every time she started to look my way I looked back down at my phone and acted as if I were texting. I should also mention that my profile pic is a pic of snowy trees, nothing that would prove to her that I was the one on Grindr. (And I use that pic because my profile states I am on it for chat and friends only, so what I look like doesn't matter because I am not hooking up with anyone. But if I am asked for a face pic, I provide it.)I closed the profile and then closed the app, because I have this strange feeling this woman was using a photo of her son and talking to guys on Grindr. When I got home, I opened Grindr again and saw there was a "Heyyy" from the profile with the kid. I immediately blocked the profile! But now I am wondering if maybe I shouldn't have notified someone about that profile. I mean, this kid was obviously underage, and his picture shouldn't be on Grindr. And who knows what this woman (who I assume is his mother) was doing on Grindr. I mean, maybe she just likes talking to gay men, or maybe she's pimping him out to some of the worst Grindr guys. I just don't know.I am not expecting comments, and I would rather not have any speculation on what was really going on with that woman. I just need to get this off my chest, because it's been bothering me.Should I have reported the profile, or even the woman, to someone?
