I hate the idea of casual sex and therefore gay "dating" culture

There need to be more people who only do long-term relationships. As someone who is looking for a long-term relationship, I absolutely cannot date someone who is known to take part in casual sex. Does this make sense? I don't want to date those people because I don't want to get burned. Ok, so I've briefly made my case...So I hate it. I really, really do. I hate that the expectation is that you're part of the hookup crowd. I hate that friends have to hold each other back from doing stupid things. I hate the near-total absence of gentlemen. I hate how the word "dating" doesn't mean taking someone out. I'm angry that this part of the boyfriend "market" seems to be thriving while my market (actually dating) is starved. What happened to romance? Nothing is real anymore.
