A girl who likes a gay friend. Any advice?

Hi, I just came here to let my feelings out. I am a girl. I have a gay friend (someone close to the both of us told me that he is bisexual but I am not really sure since I haven't confirmed). The problem is that I think I already like him more than a friend. I don't despise him for being the way he is. But it hurts and it sucks knowing that the universe let us cross paths and share a connection (something I rarely feel for anyone else) just to end up like this -- me having a one-sided love. Any advice? What should I do now?
