I can’t wait to be a boring old gay...

Anyone else? All I ever see in gay dramas is old gays being miserable about how when you’re an older gay you can’t find anyone to fuck, you can’t go clubbing, etc. Most recently I was watching Cucumber where this is a major theme.It makes sense, every old person I’ve ever met misses their youth. Maybe it’s just because my life has been difficult recently, a painful run of drama, but if I could skip to my comfortable 40s now I would. I’m so tired.I don’t know if the ease of Grindr hook ups and turning heads in clubs is actually worth it for how exhausting it all is, and how much effort. It’s all just very tiring now. Even if you find someone you love, good luck settling down in your twenties, the pressure to cheat and to join in the drink and drugs culture is so huge in young gay culture.What I really want is a nice house and my man and a cup of tea. Quiet, predictable. No more surprises.
