gay people seem to be overall nicer people?

i was thinking about this about a week ago, I’ve noticed that overall I think gay people are much more compassionate, caring, and understanding. They don’t seem to criticize anyone or just be an all around dickhead. There are some gay people who are like this, but that comes with any specific population.There aren’t many gay people in my town, but from the ones I’ve talked to online they seem to be more open minded and overall easy to make friends with, I’m wondering if any of you have noticed or experienced this.I think growing up and in between realizing your gay, accepting it, and coming out that teaches a lot of life lessons and we deal with a lot of adversity and hate which (usually) turns us into softer more understanding people.I’ve noticed in myself, while I don’t have any close friends right now. Anyone I talk to in public I seem to be ok with, I don’t make any enemies and overall I (think) I’m a decent person to be around.
