Coming out advice needed!

So I’m new to Reddit, that said I’m glad that places like this exist! I’m in need some advice.. I’m not sure if the holidays are the right time to come out. I have told a few of my friends but not my family..... I have a somewhat supportive family but most of my family members are members of the LDS church.... My parents are not members so that should make coming out to them a little easier. I need some advice on ways to actually come out. Part of me wants to do something big like wrapping up a note/sign that says I’m gay and have my parents open it Christmas Day... Or would it be easier/better for me to sit them down and tell them? I don’t plan on coming out to my extended family over the holidays, maybe just my parents and siblings. Or should I hold off until the holidays are over, my family is not the type who over stress this time of year, we just kick back and enjoy time off from work and school. Im soooooo sick and tired of living in this small, cramped, rainbowless closet!
