Beaten up

There is this guy at University that has been mocking and humiliating me for a long time and a few days ago I stood up to him and now, today( the last day before holidays vacation) he and a few of his friends cornered me as I was going home( it was around 10 p.m) and started hitting me. I fell on the ground and they kept hitting kicking and insulting me. I am pretty bruised right now and my mouth still has a blood taste in it. I don't know how to deal with this anymore.
