How can I get PrEP?

I just visited the doctor after two+ months of tests and waiting and appointment setting, only to find out they can't help me at all because I'm on my parents' insurance.I'm feeling hopeless right now. My boyfriend is HIV+ and I feel like it's impossible to get Truvada to reduce my risk of contracting it. I've called all the planned parenthoods, health departments, universities nearby and no one seems able to help me pay for the medication that costs more than my income after rent.Does anyone have experience that can help me?
