dont know how to go in for a kiss

so im 16 and seeing a 19 year old (i know it sounds weird but we really like each other). the person im seeing, the 19 year old, is a lot more experienced than i am so i feel like he would initiate our first kiss so im not worried about initiating it. im worried about what ill do if he goes in for it. when is a cliché time for someone to go in for a kiss? like when should i expect it to happen? thanks
