New to online dating with OkayCupid - tips please?

I want to find a man on OkayCupid but as I'm not out i think this site would be the best due to their hidden profile feature; is this still a thing? Being seen by some of my gay friends on there, when I haven't told them that I want a bloke, will be extremely awkward.I need to setup an account so any other tips about pictures and blurb etc would be nice!
