Grindr 4 years on

Currently back in my hometown after moving away for uni, I go back next year for my masters but currently bored as hell in my hometown so re-downloaded Grindr out of sheer boredom, one interesting thing I found was that since going to uni I've changed a lot, particularly in my appearance such as taking care of myself more and not only were the same guys from my tiny hometown still on grindr but I found it interesting that people who were complete bastards to me once, messaging me only really to tell me I'm ugly or whatever, were now trying to kiss my arse and asking me to meet up, has anyone else had a similar experience?
