Why is it i still have to ask my self "is it ok to be gay?"

Im a bi male and ive grown up in a fairly 'open' society... i mean there was still the stigma if your gay in highschool and some places where i live its uncomfortable to feel homosexual because of the 'manly' atmosphere, but in the city centre their is an open gay culture and such, but i still feel some times like i have to ask my self if its ok to be gay or trans... is this still internalised homophobia? (if so, how do you overcome that) or is it just a thing that everyone feels every now and then?
