Does this happen to anyone else?

Whenever I meet a guy that I'm really into 99.9% of the time they live far away. Which in turn leads to a long distance thing but always ends up that other person loses interest. I live in the NW part of Florida if that means anything. Does this happen to anyone else? I feel like I'm the only person who experiences this.
