Alone

So after a month of talking to him, I finally found out that the person I sit next to in my Linguistics class is gay...but has had a steady boyfriend for 6 months. I honestly feel pretty defeated because I thought I'd finally found someone I could ask out. I live in a very small town so its kind of hard to come by gay guys. I'm 23 years old and the most I've ever done is kissed one of my friends as a teenager. I'm just venting right now, but I'm seriously depressed. Some days I wake up and wonder why I even bother to keep going.
