Studying abroad until may, but wanted to start talking to guys back at home.

I came out of the closet recently, woo, but two weeks after I fully came out I left to study abroad.I am not planning on acting on anything while I am here because I really want a relationship.I don't get home until May and was thinking of creating an OkCupid profile and start talking to guys near home.Would it be alright if I did, or should I just wait till I get home?
