Gay dating at a young age

I recently came out to my best friend. To my luck he's fully supportive and tries his best with advice and all and actually told me to make a reddit because there would be a good community to back me up/give me tips and stuff. Along with coming out to him I've kind of loosened up like started looking around for possible boyfriends or so. But it just kind of continuously puts me down because the dating pool is terrible. Like in my town there's maybe 4 out boys and they're wayyyy not my type. Any dating advice for a teen whose still pretty much in the closet?
