Do you think the world "Gay" should be censored?

So i'v been playing this game called "Pangya" for a little over 10 years now. In the game you can't type the word "Gay" to other people, it will censor it out.Do you think this is bad? Like there's nothing wrong with the word, i don't see why they would censor it. Also i came across a video today that had the word "Gay" in it, and a teacher asked the student to remove that word from the song in order for them to use it in their presentation.Why? I don't get this?
