Do I text this guy?

I recently got out of a serious long term relationship. I went out to the bar as a new single for the first time in my life. This one guy really liked me and gave me his number. I made out with him but for me there was just no chemistry. I told him I didn't mean to disappoint but I was going to go home because I had to work in the morning. Do I sent him a text and let him know he seems like a nice guy but I'm not really interested? Or do I just not text him?Tl;dr I'm a nice guy and don't want to be a jerk.
