Newsflash

I just wanna say a few things about this common misconception that "it gets better". 1. Just because you live in America or some other gay friendly country doesn't mean all countries are that way. Guess what, there are countries where there are NO LGBT support groups, NO gay marriages, NO registered partnerships, NO adoption, NO gay clubs, NO gay bars. Which leads me to: 2. "Get yourself out there" is also not an option for people everywhere, just because gay people in some places don't dare to show their faces, not to mention have a relationship with another man. Most marry women and secretly have sex with men. 3. There are people whose friends and families will NEVER be accepting so don't go with that "they will love you no matter what" shit. 4. There are places and societies (mine included) where 90% of people are homophobic and that number is not changing any time soon. In conclusion: IT DOES NOT GET BETTER. Some people get to live in places that are not homophobic and from that perspective it's very easy to give advice when you actually have no idea what the other person is going through or the fact THAT HE WILL NEVER GO THROUGH IT. It's the reality, some of us are TOTALLY FUCKED and there isn't a thing we can do about it. So don't give me that "it gets better" crap cause it fuckin DOESN'T.
