Lesbian Friends' Parents Going Fucking Nuts
A friend of a friend of a friend knows a girl. She is a lesbian and is dating another girl at this time. All in secret. These people mean a lot to me and as part of the LGBT community myself, this is an issue that I find quite close to my heart.Warning: I have posted some controvesrial stuff (deleted, don't look), so lgbt redditors and bots don't like me too much. I can't even post in r/lgbt. This is an important matter, so no bullshit - I am being 100% serious about everything I say here. The country where all this shit is taking place is Slovakia. For some quick background insights:lgbt is being oppressed, no marriages, no legal support, barely any movements to help us thrive (just to give you deeper perspective: right about now there is a Pride in the capital of Slovakia, and certain political figures funded an anti-lgbt march on the same day and virtually the same place to counter the ideology);Christianity is the most prominent religious belief (in many families it takes extreme measures);nationalism is on the rise - for the first time since the War, a Nazi party was voted for by enough people to enter the government;the country was a part of the Eastern block (the Iron Curtain), which can be translated into pro-Russian.So, with the general stuff out of the way. These two girls, let's call them Anna and Maria. They've been dating for a while - it's not just a phase. They came out to a few people they considered friends. One of them reached out to their parents and revealed the secret.Anna managed to make it look like a joke in the eyes of her family, but her parents are suspicious and are soon expected to find out.Maria's parents found out and she confessed that it was the truth. She is being sleep and food deprived, physically tortured, shamed and degraded as a punishment.Maria's family is highly religious, so is Anna's.Both the girls are about 18, with this upcoming year being their last in high school. They have no funds, no means of running away, can't contact the police (law enforcement looks the other way when it comes to lgbt problems even if basic human rights are being violated). There is no community they can turn to; most of their friends, apparently, can't be trusted. Even if they were, however, Maria's parents are not allowing her much contact with anyone.I will eventually edit this post with more info I can think of that could help someone here think of a solution to this situation.TL;DR: A girl comes out as lesbian to her parents, they beat her up and her future is in grave danger.Edit: Formatting. Please, I don't want this to grow into a "matter of life or death". They need a hand, and they need it soon.
