Am I a homophobe?

Hi i'm an indie game designer and near the launch of my most recent title, I had a friend help me out with some of the marketting. simple stuff fabebook, instagram, twitter before posting "please send me link with the proposed hashtags" he sent me a list of about 50 hashtags all great, #indiegamer #fantasy #tech...whatever all great and relating to my game.a couple weeks in i check the posts, within the list of hashtags is one that says #gaymer. ok fine i ask him to please remove it I specifically mentioned no political stuff.. a couple weeks go by and some conversation comes up where we talk about a gay marketing plan. to which i declined, being straight its not honest to me, even though I see the value in how that could market. a week later I find it's #gaymer is posted within the giant list of hashtags again. after this i talked to him and said he couldn't post for me anymore because he's not staying honest to my company image. to which he became visibly discomforted and started calling me a homophobe. "my homophobia is showing" is what he said. well I can live with being called names, but from a third party Ive found he's been trying to sabotage my game release by saying its from a homophobic company. Ive tried to reach out and say sorry to him ( i feel he's in the wrong) but I'd rather not lose energy on that. to which every reach out is bombarded with feminist and anti nazi posts...Am I wrong? how can i fix this
