Pretty sure this kid is gay and is coming on to me, and i'm thinking about making a move

This guy at my school who I've knew for about a year. He really cute, blonde hair wear sweatpants, and tight jeans, would blow him in a second. we had one class together last year barley talked, have gym together this year and still dont talk much. However lately I've felt like he been coming on to me. I aint completely out as gay by really good friends know and the rest of the school pretty much just assume. Something about him, he'll completely ignore when he by himself but when he's with friends he'll talk to me and stuff. But last week for example, in gym he sat literally right by me, when he first sat, he smiled at me and didn't say anything the whole period. He hang out with 4 other guys who don't like me, I don't know why they just dont. But they say stupid shit when there around me, I usually ignore them, but the pass few days the kid been telling them to shut up and leave me alone and shit, a couple days ago he was walking with them and he pretended to swing at me, scared me a little, smiled, laugh and walk away. Yesterday in gym we was on the field, I was sitting in the bleachers on my phone, I notice he was looking at me, I looked back and he turned away and bend over and did the put your hands are your knee thing, did that a few seconds they ran off. (Has a great ass by the way) Today walking in between classes, he looked me up and down 3 times then smiled at me, which was kinda creepy but turned me off. All of this stuff have been in the past 2 weeks, thinking back I can think of others stuff that may hint toward him being interested like probably almost a year ago, this girl was being a bitch and kept calling me gay over and over again, and he kept asking me if it was true, I though he was just messing with me but now idk. Also I've notice he always seem to pull his pants up when he's in my view but I greatly appreciate. So I'm really starting to think he's interested and I wanna act quick cause there only 4 weeks of school left
