I want to go on a date soon!

Hey people, I only recently sort of came out and I'm in the city all summer and I really want to try dating but I have no idea where to start. I don't want sex yet so I know grindr isn't for me, and I'm not too interested in the people on tinder in my area. I really want to try this out but I just can't find the perfect situation from either side. What do I do??
