Falling in love in a friend with benefits...

Okay so I've been seeing this one dude who seems very nice. Especially at first he told me how special I am and how he hasn't met anyone else after me. He's 11 years older than me, yeah I know a lot. Recently I've been thinking that should I hook up with him anymore. I know he's probably not interested romantically in me but i asked my one trustworthy friend who also knows this guy that how often he gets laid and he told me "many times a week". I'm feeling so shit after this since I think he's been lying to me. I seriously don't know what to do about this situation because this is affecting my school performance and I'm thinking about this 24/7.
