I was at this party last night with friends. Everyone there knows I'm gay, and I didn't think any of them cared. Most of them don't.We were just hanging, and to get a laugh I asked where all the hot young guys were around this part of town.One friend, whom I've known for years, piped up with that response. He was wasted af, and probably also did it to try and get a laugh - but it still hurt pretty bad. I thought that he would've at least have been more sensitive and consider his words, but yea, one of the qualities of being plastered in being incapable of considering your own words sometimes. Nobody laughed at his repsonse, and everyone more or less had a response of shock. I just sort of packed up and left after that.Just sucks. Cause he's a fun person to be around most of the time, but I probably won't be around him again. It sucks that this mindset still exists.
