Should I come out to someone?

I've been thinking about telling someone that I am into guys, but I had trouble deciding who so I wasn't going to tell anyone. This kid just joined my frat and is gay. I kinda thought this is fate and would tell him. However, he is pretty outspoken so I am nervous that his going to spread it. Honestly not too sure if I can trust him but at least he was in my shoes once. Any ideas on what to do? Should I tell him? If so, how?
